As a former player who trained with Dave and served as a trainer with him, I can say with certainty that no one thinks about hockey training the way Dave does. From the on-ice instruction to the off-ice dryland cross-training, his program covers all aspects of the game to make you an all around better player without turning you into a robot. The other programs I have been apart of are mundane compared to Dave’s approach. I would dread going to other camps and clinics knowing their focus was so singular with the same drills every time. I looked forward to heading to Build Your Game every session and would recommend him for any player who loves the game and is looking to improve.

BYG has been awesome! Dave is so good with Ray (9 years old) and it’s still Ray’s favorite training session each week. We’ve been with Dave for a couple years and recommend BYG for any player that wants those silky mitts-

Build Your Game has been a staple in my hockey career the past 4 years of my life. It has truly made me a better player on the ice, off the ice, and in the weight room. BYG has improved my shot and puck control tremendously and has also given me so much confidence on the ice when I apply these skills learned at the facility and the rink. Dave is also one of the greatest instructors I have ever had!!

BYG is a great experience! Dave will push you to be better with each session. He uses a great combination of training during off-ice sessions that translates to the on-ice sessions. Dave and BYG helped grow my game tremendously! I was a bubble player at best before Dave brought my skills and work to a new level. Dave taught me things on and off the ice that helped grow my game. On top of growing he made the sessions fun as well while still working hard. If you are looking for quality training and a place where you get your money’s worth then you don’t need to look any further than BYG! I’ve been witness BYG grow from a small location in a old brewery to where it is today!

My kid has been working with coach Dave for over a year. I’ve seen a drastic improvement in his game. I have referred a couple of his friends and they all agree that it’s the funest hockey activity that they do.

This is my son’s third year at BYG, starting when he was just seven, and there is a reason we keep coming back. His stick handling and shooting skills have improved ten fold, and he has fun on top of it. Dave is an attentive and active coach who cares about the kids, correcting and helping them so they can achieve optimal technique. I would recommend BYG’s training to give your kids more confidence and an edge on their game!

In just four sessions we’ve already seen an improvement in not only our son’s skills but more importantly his hockey confidence. Dave’s methods can be easily carried over to practice at home.

Dave is great with the kids. The stick-handling and shooting drills he teaches are something I wish I was taught growing up.
